Dr Mathias Ammon is an expert in the modelling of energy systems, particularly heat supply systems, as well as in the design and development of suitable software. Mathias Ammon completed his doctorate in this field on the topic of ‘Selection and comparison of software for modelling and optimising energy systems’. After four years of intensive research with several programming languages, he has been working at HIC CONSULTING (formerly Hamburg Institut) since 2023, continuously developing new tools that we can use for specific projects for our customers and clients. He analyses and develops energy systems for municipalities and district heating network operators and contributes his expertise to nationally significant research projects such as OptInAquiFer (client: BMBF) and SysGF (client: BMWE).
