Marleen Greenberg is our expert on biological and ecological aspects of climate neutrality. The biologist advises local authorities and companies on nature-based solutions – i.e. nature-based measures that combine ecological, social and economic benefits. One focus is on biological climate protection, such as the rewetting of moors and the development of forestry projects. In addition, Marleen Greenberg is intensively involved with negative and non-energy emissions, particularly from agriculture and LULUCF. She played a key role in founding the Netzwerks Pflanzenkohle (Biochar Network) and works on various technical and nature-based approaches to biochar carbon removal.
