Jakob Schlandt is Senior Manager and Head of Policy & Markets at HIC CONSULTING. He has been involved in German energy and climate policy for around 20 years and has extensive experience in regulatory and strategic issues. At HIC CONSULTING, he is responsible for policy consulting and also manages the company’s Berlin office.

Previously, he was Head of Tagesspiegel Background Energy & Climate. He is very familiar with and well connected to knowledge and decision-makers as well as stakeholders – from federal ministries and authorities to political parties, academia, companies, associations and NGOs. Jakob Schlandt advises ministries, companies and associations on regulatory and market issues, evaluates business models in the energy sector and develops strategies at the interface of politics, market and technology
