Dr Matthias Sandrock is managing partner of HIC CONSULTING and co-founder of Hamburg Institut. He holds a doctorate in chemistry and has around 40 years of experience in the energy sector. He is one of Germany’s leading experts on the heat transition. His consulting work focuses on the development of holistic strategies for transforming heat supply and integrating renewable energies into the heat market.
Matthias Sandrock advises management boards, ministries and public and private clients on energy policy and regulatory issues. He has already produced a large number of studies, expert reports and concepts in the field of heating for HIC CONSULTING and Hamburg Institut. For many years, he has been involved in research and consulting projects focusing in particular on the integration of renewable energies and waste heat into district heating supply and the further development of energy policy instruments
