Dr Tobias Zimmermann heads the Renewable Heat division at HIC CONSULTING. The Senior Manager is an expert in the transformation of heating networks and focuses on advising on strategies for sustainable heat supply and the analysis of coupled energy systems. He has already led numerous consulting projects here – both on the creation of technical transformation plans for heat suppliers and on the further development of the regulatory framework for the heat transition. He is a member of the Arbeitskreis Langzeit-Wärmespeicher (Long-Term Heat Storage Working Group), which serves to exchange information and discuss the construction methods and system integration of large heat storage facilities. He is also a member of the international technology collaboration programme „Energy Storage – Task 45“, which deals with accelerating the use of large thermal energy storage systems, and is an approved expert according to FW609 and FW611 at AGFW.
