Robert Werner is managing partner of HIC CONSULTING and co-founder of Hamburg Institut. The graduate geographer is one of the most experienced experts in the German and European energy sector and has been advising on issues relating to the energy transition, regulation and decarbonisation for more than 25 years. His focus is on management and policy consulting as well as the development of decarbonisation strategies for industrial and commercial enterprises, investors and local authorities. In addition, he supports companies in analysing climate risks and further developing their business models, and develops concepts and methods for verification in energy and carbon markets.

Robert Werner has deep insights into national and European energy policy and regularly discusses its developments at panel discussions and specialist events. He gained international experience as CEO of a US start-up for storage technologies, among other things. He is a member of the advisory board of the dena market offensive and the association council of the Cooperative Audit Association for Services, Real Estate and Trade e. V.
